The hall is available from 8am to 12 midnight. If you need additional set-up or clear-up time, please include this in your booking.
Yes, a deposit is usually required to confirm your booking of 50% of the cost of the hire.
Hirers must leave the hall clean and tidy, with tables and chairs returned to storage. Where crockery and glasses have been hired, these must be cleaned and dried (please provide your own tea towels). Rubbish must be bagged and placed in the bins provided. A charge will apply if
the hall is not left as found as we will have to employ a cleaner.
We will provide you with the code to our lockbox. Please return the keys to this lockbox at the end of the hire, or every day (if hiring for more than one day)
Full payment will usually be required 4 weeks before the hire commences.
Cancellations should be made as early as possible; charges may apply if made with less than 3 months notice.
We have a main hall with a small stage. This has a capacity of 80 (seated at tables) or 120 (seated in rows). We also have a small meeting room with a capacity of 25 (seated at tables) and a large garden with gated access at the back to the car park. Use of the kitchen for preparation of beverages is included in the hall hire.
Yes, we have full kitchen facilities including 3 cookers, 8 hobs, 2 microwaves, fridges, dishwasher and kettle. These can be hired for an additional £50.
We have 1 large commercial fridge and 3 small fridges in the kitchen.
Yes, we can hire these out to you at a nominal charge of £25 for glasses and £25 for crockery. Please let us know if there are any breakages.
Yes, tables and chairs are provided within the hire cost. You just need to put them out and clear away after use.
This will need to be agreed in advance. Most hirers serve drinks through the kitchen hatch.
Yes, if appropriate you will be shown how to use this.
Unfortunately no, these are only used by the Village Hall Committee.
These are not part of our normal hire but we are happy to discuss this with you.
No, this is a very old building.
Yes, please state this at the time of booking. If you plan to sell alcohol you will need to do so via the services of a Licensed Bar provider who will apply for a Temporary Event Notice (TEN) from the local council. This licence must be provided to us at least 5 days before your booking.
Yes, with prior agreement and subject to noise regulations.
Only outside and with prior agreement. Proof of the supplier’s insurance will be required at least 5 days before your booking.
Yes, we have a good sized free car park behind the village hall.
Only Guide/Assistance dogs are permitted inside the Hall, but dogs on leads are permitted in the garden.
